Laser Cutting Operator x2\n\nLocation: Birmingham\nSalary: £30,000 per annum\nHours: Full Time\nMonday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm\nFriday: 7:30am - 11:30am\n\nAuxo Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for two experienced Laser Cutting Operators to join their production team in Birmingham.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation that manufactures high-quality precision components for a range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, rail, and industrial sectors. If you have experience operating laser cutting or laser marking machinery and take pride in producing quality work, we'd love to hear from you.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Laser Cutting Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting and laser marking equipment to produce high-quality components to customer specifications. You'll work from technical drawings and production documentation, ensuring products meet strict quality standards while maintaining efficient production.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSet up and operate laser cutting and laser marking machinery in line with production schedules.\nLoad and verify programs, materials, and job specifications.\nManufacture components to engineering drawings, artwork, and customer requirements.\nMonitor machine performance and make adjustments to optimise quality and productivity.\nCarry out first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment.\nPerform quality checks to ensure components meet specification.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.\nIdentify and report production issues, defects, or non-conformances.\nComplete production documentation accurately.\nCarry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning.\nSupport assembly, finishing, packaging, and dispatch activities when required.\nMaintain excellent housekeeping standards and follow 5S principles.\nComply with all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.\nWork collaboratively with colleagues across production and quality teams.\n\nAbout You\n\nTo be successful in this role, you'll have:\n\nPrevious experience operating laser cutting or laser marking machinery.\nThe ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.\nA strong eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.\nGood organisational and time management skills.\nThe ability to work independently and as part of a team.\nBasic computer skills.\nStrong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.\n\nDesirable Experience\n\nPrevious experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.\nExperience producing components for the aerospace, automotive, rail, or industrial sectors.\nKnowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.\nExperience using precision measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, and gauges.\nUnderstanding of barcode, QR code, or serial number marking processes.\n\nWhat's on Offer?\n\n£30,000 per annum.\nPermanent, full-time position.\nEarly finish every Friday.\nCompany pension.\nOngoing training and career development.\nOpportunities for progression within a growing manufacturing business.\nSupportive and friendly working environment.\nStable, long-term career opportunity.If you're an experienced Laser Cutting Operator looking for your next challenge with a forward-thinking manufacturer, apply today or contact Auxo Talent for a confidential discussion
